If you are a PC user, switch to New Engine, it is mostly stable and has important fixes for players and modding scene Changes Added: Old engine will be fully maintained and supported until new engine first stable releases.
In contrast, "New Engine" is new code base based on latest upstream Xash3D release. This code base is now deprecated and will be referred as "Old Engine".
